We're almost ready for winter. Today we put the windows up in the barn. We're planning to make changes to the interior of the barn to accomodate lambing jugs. Hopefully we'll need seven jugs this year. The ewes have been placed with the rams - breeding time has begun.
I love this time change. I even had time this morning before we left for church, o place a pork roast in the oven with some of our recent harvest of potatoes and carrots. Perfect Sunday dinner!

Meet one of my ewes, Amelia. Amelia is the first Finnsheep ewe I purchased from my good friend and fellow shepherdess, Elizabeth H. Kinne Gossner from Stillmeadow Finnsheep. Amelia is a black and white piebald ewe (girl sheep). Hopefully she will lamb in early spring. You see, she recently spent some time with one of my rams, Finnegan. Now are you starting to get the picture?

Hopefully I will be able to post to Finnegan's blog a couple of time a week.
